Street Car Lofts

Already referred to as the "coolest" new project in the Hoyt Street Yards to date, Streetcar Lofts Condominiums will emulate the design of Portland's classic industrial warehouse buildings and is being constructed of concrete and steel. Currently under construction and scheduled for completion in the fall of 2001, sales are now well underway on the planned 139 units. The design of the loft interiors remains true to the original concept with 10 foot ceilings, undefined spaces, indestructible concrete floors and floor-to-ceiling windows. Unlike the lofts where starving artists once lived without intercoms and internet access, however, Streetcar Lofts will have state-of-the-art wiring for high speed internet access, modern and efficient kitchens, air conditioning and double French doors that open wide to access private European-style balconies. Available units range in size from single-level lofts of 597 sq. ft. to 1400 sq. ft. to two level townhouses or penthouses starting at 900 sq. ft.
